I showered this morning
and was bathed in grace.
I ate my bowl of cereal
and was fed by grace.
I watched the morning news
and was challenged by grace.
I got dressed after breakfast
and was clothed with grace.
I stood outside, face up to the falling snow,
my face gently touched by grace.
I sat before our Christmas tree,
awed by grace.
I read an Advent devotion
and was calmed by grace.
I misplaced my glasses (yet again)
and was humbled by grace.
I cried over the loss of someone I loved
and was embraced by grace.
I climbed into bed beside my husband,
and we were cradled by grace.
Grace before us, grace behind us,
grace under our feet,
grace between us, grace within us,
let all around us be grace.
